i'll be quite honest...for as much as i walk around with my head tilted back looking at the sky (particularly at night), i have never noticed how close the stars are to earth in the spring time. i've always loved the fall season. warm sunny days framed in brilliant color. brisk fall nights in front of a bon fire or on a long walk...watching the heavens for shooting stars and blinking planets. and, of course, the moon. can never overlook my haven in the heavens.
but spring time. is it just me? or is the sky getting bigger? i don't seem to remember orbital bliss being quite as, well...big as it is now. i swear there are nights when i get out of the car after work, or open the door to let a dog out, that i could literally reach up and grab my choice of sparkling diamonds from the sky (lucy not included). i guess i should ask someone about what seems to me to be a pleasant oddity. probably just my skewed sense of what's going on around me. but i sure do like it, none-the-less. hopefully the warm nights of summer aren't too far around the bend.
